Special Notes:

1. retired fireman

2.Worked for Airlines at Airport with Jet fuels and toxins (never sick prior to this - no prior operations or illness)

3.Not diagnosed with hemangiopericytoma (age 54) until 24 after leaving

4.lived over the EPA Superfund site in Manchester Lake, in Alexandria Virginia. It had several chemicals linked to Dioxin and Sarcoma.
5. Born in France, but diagnosis was while living in Edison, NJ; also, visited many othr contries before diagnosis: (China, Japan,
Germany, England, Ireland, Spain, Austria).

6. My husband and his family grew up on farmland in Bridgehampton and Water Mill and we spent our married
life in Southampton, near a landfill, about a mile as the crow flies. But my gut tells me his sarcoma and that of his mother, uncle on father's side and cousins who all got pancreatic cancers and throat cancer, is a result of the farm chemicals and/or living on farmland. My husband worked on a farm as a teenager and into his mid to late 20's.

7. Long Island, lived in Germany for 12 years, and have been in Baltimore since 1987. Diagnosed with synovial cell sarcoma 11/02, age 48. Clear scans ever since wide excision and radiation.

8. Mixoid Liposarcoma left hip/thigh/buttock diagnosed age 32 (2002) however, was first noticed by dr who 'forgot' to inform me at age 28(1998)..in 2004 second new primary right groin age 34.

I have always been allergic to chemicals, Lysol, bugspray etc. Even when towns spray for bugs I have to stay inside for 2-3 days. When in San Jose they had the medflies and they did the helicopter area spraying.

9.I was diagnosed with Epithelioid Sarcoma in May of this year after my left index
finger was amputated. I am now 42 had the growth on my finger removed numerous
times since the age of 10!

10. Lived in Easton PA, South Carolina, and Lewistown PA all prior to diagnosis. Lived in Warrington/Willow Grove 3 years prior to and after diagnosis.

11. Lived in Reading PA first 8 years, Delaware ever since.

12. grew up in Wilkes=Barre Pennsylvania, lived all over the northeast, from Vermont to New Jersey. Was diagnosed three years ago with dedifferentiated retroperitoneal liposarcoma at age 57. I am female, and I have been living in Hopewell, NJ for the last 14 years.

13. In a nutshell (my theory) - Dec. 2000, went to Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale to have blood taken prior to surgery for a thyroidectomy in Jan. 2001. Mayo is a teaching hospital. They had trouble getting blood. Third nurse had me sit in waiting room for 45 min, drink water and tied a tourniquet around my arm. Finally took blood. 2 weeks later I found a lump where she tied the tourniquet. To make a long story short - Jan. thyroidectomy, April went to a general surgeon to excise the so-called "sebaceous cyst" By May, it came back much larger and had surgery to remove it at the end of May. Doctor diagnosed it as a sarcoma, but was not sure. The 6 pathologists at Scottsdale Healthcare could not identify it so my tissues were sent to Italy for a Dr. Rosai to diagnose. Final diagnosis: Malignant Fibrous Hystiocytoma. June same year - 2nd surgery for wide margin excision followed by 7 weeks of radiation. Prognosis: Excellent after 4 1/2 years. My theory is trauma caused the sarcoma to develop. They said it was there 10 years. I don't think so.

14. epithelioid fibrosarcoma 14 years old, localized mass near elbow only no stage, no mestestizes.(no cancer anywhere else in body) treatmenst :radiation, chemotharapy, surgery death 7 months after diagnosis

15.  Dec. 28, 2006 Pleiomorphic Leiomyosarcoma (bottom of right foot)
January 28, 2007 Leiomyosarcoma (Resection on bottom of right foot)

I have lived in Alpharetta, GA since Aug. 2002.
Prior to that, I lived in Boca Raton, FL from the end of June 1998 to the end of July 2002.
Prior to that, I lived in Cherry Hill, NJ from March 1968 to end of June 1998.
Prior to that, I lived in Woodbury, NJ from Nov. 1943 to March 1968.

My ortho onc. surgeon, specializing in sarcomas, feels that my LMS resulted from first and second degree burns to both my feet, which occurred on Grand Bahama Island in1988 or early 1989. . So far, I have been NED since finishing 6 wks. of radiation therapy following the resection. However, mri of the foot in late Nov. '07 showed some bone necrosis, more than likely due to the radfiation.
